School Profile

Halls Head Community College is a unique educational institution. It was built during 2000 to cater for the rapidly expanding Southern areas of Mandurah. As one of the first purpose-built Middle Schools in Western Australia it encapsulates all the ideals of middle schooling through its design and educational philosophy.

Our school is committed to enhancing student performance and enjoyment of schooling by:

  • Adopting a student-centred approach to teaching and learning;

  • Using technology to enrich learning experiences;

  • Providing a wide range of specialist facilities that will cater for the diverse interests of our students;

  • Establishing a supportive and caring environment through our strong focus on pastoral care;

  • Engaging parents and the wider community in our educational programs and the decision-making processes of the school.

At Halls Head Community College, all students have the opportunity to engage in the educational enterprise. In partnership with parents and teachers, our students have the opportunity to realise their full potential; to achieve their goals; to prepare for the future.

  • Halls Head Community College is a community of learners.

  • We foster a cooperative and supportive learning environment that is inclusive and responsive to the needs of all students.

  • We aim to develop independent learners who have a strong sense of self-worth and compassion for others.

  • Our vision will be realised through an enduring partnership involving all members of the school community.
